Quality Control

Duties of Job:

  • Responsible for quality of finished product
  • Work with Factory Foreman
  • Report to Captain and Mate
  • Inspect fish for quality and handling
  • Take core temps to ensure fish is maintained at correct temperatures
  • Remove product from freezer pans so it can be bagged and stored in the hold
  • Help where needed in factory to help control quality throughout processing
  • Keep track of the amount of product in the hold

Training and Licenses: HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) certificate – usually obtained through Surefish. High school diploma or equivalent
